The Norwegian National Security Authority (NSM): What your company should do now

‍
The Norwegian National Security Authority (NSM) has raised the cyber risk level in Norway to HIGH, the second-highest level. Norwegian businesses are urged to implement security measures immediately.

‍‍
The cyber threat is increasing, and both large and small businesses can be affected. The most important thing now is to ensure that your company is sufficiently protected.

‍
Five things you should check now

  1. Update your systems. Ensure that critical vulnerabilities are addressed quickly.
  2. Secure access. Use multi-factor authentication and remove unnecessary access rights.
  3. Monitor threats. Ensure that suspicious activity is detected and handled.
  4. Check backups and contingency plans. Do you know how quickly your business can be back in operation after an attack?
  5. Maintain control over suppliers. Ensure that those who have access to your systems also take security seriously.
